I’m all about collagen these days! Why? First off, I have a pretty weak digestion that gives me a lot of trouble from time to time. Collagen is really great for rebuilding the deteriorating walls of the digestive tract.
The other benefit of collagen is that it aids in generating healthy new connective tissue. This includes your bones, joints and YES, your skin!
Since taking collagen, I have noticed a big difference in the texture of my skin. It feels much softer and thicker. My toes and knees were feeling some aches and pains from all those years of running and since taking the collagen, the aches have diminished.
I don’t experience as many gut flare-ups as I used to since taking collagen.

Tonight, I was trying to resist my chocolate cravings and decided to make a delicious, healthy smoothie and I’m not regretting it one bit!
Spiced Cacao Collagen Shake Recipe
1 cup almond milk (or any other non dairy milk you choose)
1 scoop collagen powder
2 TBSP organic cacao powder
2 TBSP organic sunflower butter (or almond)
1 large, ripe banana
1 tsp of maple syrup (optional)
1 tsp cinnamon
Pinch of chili powder
Blend until smooth and enjoy!
